
Head down the stairs
from the Kalrathia teleporter and continue
down the stairway to the southeast. Head south
down the short alley towards the doorway.
Enter the tavern and
speak to Kevarre the Explorer, who's the first character seated at the bar as they enter. He'll speak of the ancient vault of Soranith, where he found an amulet. He believes that the set is comprised of some additional jewels, and wants your party to help with finding them. Agree to do so to initiate this quest.
Return to the Kalrathia teleporter and teleport to the Northern Plain of Tears. Head east around the boulders behind the teleporter and continue a short ways until reaching a square tower just south of a ruined tower. Enter and activate the switch on the west wall to take the elevator down to A Mysterious Vault. Head south, passing through the first chamber, which has been placed here solely to give one a clue as to what is to come. Clear out all enemies as your group proceeds through this area and do not attempt solution of these puzzles without first doing so as you don't want to be distracted while doing so.
Have your party members fight their way through to the second larger vault and clear all of the enemies from it. You'll note that the room contains five obelisks, which are all connected by channels in the floor as depicted below (north orientation (note that your party must walk to the back of the room and turn around to see this view):

The channels are initially dark and must be lit. When you left click on an obelisk, all other obelisks connected by unlit channels, begin to glow. Left click any one of those obelisks and its associated channel(s) light(s) up and one or more other obelisks are activated. Once a channel, connecting two obelisks, is lit, it can't be reused. You can use the statue situated on the south side of the room to reset the puzzle. Use the following solution, which corresponds to the layout of the second chamber above, to solve the puzzle and open two doors to the south.
You can click on each of the letters in the following list to view the associated node being activated. Note that the individual node activation views were created with the view facing generally north. You may need to first reset the statue in order for the following solution to operate correctly.
Turn around to the south and head through either one of the two newly opened doors behind the reset statue. First head through the
door to the west. Approach the
Big Chest and
obtain Soranith's Silver Ring from it.
Return to the prior room and then head through the door to the south and proceed down the winding stairway. Walk through the door out into a large chamber, containing a more complicated light puzzle than the one before. You'll note that the room contains nine obelisks, which are all connected by channels in the floor as depicted below (north orientation (note that your party must walk to the back of the room and turn around to see this view):
