Head down the stairs from the Kalrathia teleporter, continuing down the second stairway to the northeast, then turn north and head toward the north exit and they'll run right into Nora the Nature Mage. Speak to her to learn that the Black Mages have placed a seal on the Kalrathian Nexus, rendering it inoperable and greatly hindering magical capability in Kalrathia. She believes that the seal can be broken through the use of the Soul Staff. Agree to help to initiate the quest and she gives it to your party, with clues to the locations of two of the three required areas, where the staff must be taken. She does not know of the location of the third area.

Teleport back to Eirulan, and then from there to the Temple of Xeria. Step down the stairs to the north, then turn west and proceed up the stairway to the area containing the large statue of Xeria. Head north behind the statue to the Incantation Shrine beyond it. Turn to the northeast and left click on the statue to open a secret door to the west on the other side of the Incantation Shrine (if this has not already been done). Head west into the secret area and climb up the curving stairway, then continue west under the arch and open the first of two doors. Go on through and continue down the corridor to the second door. Open it and move foward into The Cavern of Earth. Move forward and descend toward the glowing green circular area below. When the game notes that "An explosion of power surrounds you!", equip a character with the Soul Staff and chant the Arcesso Arcanum (received from Nora along with the staff; it's the 1st chant on page 16) to imbue the staff with power from the Earth ley line.

Teleport back to Eirulan and then to Aman'lu. Teleport from Aman'lu to the Eastern Face of Snowbrook Mountain and head west down the hill and take out whatever enemies await your party, probably including a battle with a Hardened Snow Va'arth Barbarian, then on past the Health Shrine to the Snowbrook Haven Servant's Quarters and proceed inside. Turn north when they have to and continue into a large room with lots of columns. Head past the small statue of Xeria and the fire in the pit, then turn east and enter the adjoining room with the stairway leading up to the east. Climb the stairs, then turn north and follow the corridor into the The Cavern of Frost (they'll need to first open one door and then another if this is their first visit to the cavern). Move forward and descend toward the snowflake circular area below. If this quest is not active, you'll see a note about a magical harmonic echo as your party traverses the snowflake circular area, but nothing else will happen. When the game notes that "An explosion of power surrounds you!", equip a character with the Soul Staff and chant the Arcesso Arcanum to imbue the staff with power from the Frost ley line.

Teleport back to Aman'lu and then to Eirulan. Teleport from there to the Lost Valley of the Azunites. Head southwest from the teleporter and destroy all approaching enemy Blastwings, Fire-Breathing Blastwings, Ironhorns, Thrusks, Giant Thrusks, Festering Sand Reapers, Hyenas, etc. Continue in that direction and following the path you can see on the smaller compass map until they pass the entrance to An Ancient Azunite Shrine to the north, then continue forward toward the alcove created by the ruins of an Azunite building, which is just up ahead to the southwest, where the first ghost from the Spirits of Aranna quest is or was standing. Head up the rise to the south to the entrance to The Cavern of the Phoenix and enter it. Move forward and descend toward the phoenix circular area below. When the game notes that "An explosion of power surrounds you!", equip a character with the Soul Staff and chant the Arcesso Arcanum to imbue the staff with power from the Phoenix ley line.

Teleport back to Eirulan and then to Kalrathia. Teleport to the Eastern Plain of Tears and head west a short ways to the entrance to the Kalrathian Nexus. Enter and move forward and descend toward the Seal of Dark Magic. Equip your active character with the Soul Staff or one who can equip it and right click on the seal a couple of time to smash it to restore the Kalrathian Mages' magical abilites and to receive the Sigil of the Kalrathian Nexus.

Teleport back to Kalrathia, then head down the stairs and then down the northeastern stairway, then turn north and head toward the north exit and speak to Nora the Nature Mage, who'll fashion the Soul Staff of the Nexus for your party plus give them other items and gold as a reward. This completes the quest.
