Head east from the Aman'lu teleporter and go down the ramp, then take the southern pathway, a short distance later, and to the Pet Shop and enter it. Approach and speak to Pet Seller Galeron and ask him if he has anything special (i.e. the #3 response). Eventually ask him if they can help find him, and he'll send your party off in search of Khartos the Wise. Note that while the quest refers to him as Khartos the Wise, he is referred to in game as Khartos the Strong.

Return to the teleporter and head for Kalrathia. Head east down the stairs from the Kalrthian teleporter, then take the southeastern stairway down to the ground. Head south into the tavern, where they'll encounter Khartos the Strong as they walk inside. Ask him if he's Khartos the Wise, then if he has information on a silver horned creature.

Once he says they'll have to fight him to get him to help, do so or do nothing and he'll concede that perhaps you can handle the Morden and gives your party directions to the Kalrathian rift site. He then departs from the tavern for the rift site.

Return to the teleporter and transport to the Northern Plain of Tears. Head temporarilly south toward Kalrathia, then turn east just before reaching the large arch. Turn northwest and walk to the left behind the ruined building. Continue north toward Khartos is clearly visible ahead, and the rift site beyond him.

Collect the nearby treasure and speak to Khartos to learn that he's taking up the study of Magic again, and remind him to send the Mythrilhorn straight back to the Pet Shop in Aman'lu, after which he surreptitiously disappears, seemingly headed back to town.

Teleport back to Kalrathia and once there teleport back to Aman'lu, where you'll note a star on the small compass. Head east from the Aman'lu teleporter and down the ramp, then take the . Enter and speak to Pet Seller Galeron to receive your reward and complete this quest.
