Note that this secondary quest can be undertaken in Act I, Chapter 4 (The Plague) but it can not be completed until your characters have access to Kalrathia in Act III. It is one of the most difficult in the game because after you've acquired this quest, your journal only shows two entries:
Unfortunately there are eight steps in between, which must first be discerned, then accomplished in order, and are only noted in the journal as each one is accomplished! Worse, your characters must travel well past Aman'lu (Act II) into Kalrathia and its environs (Act III) before being actually able to complete this quest.
1. Head south from the Eirulan teleporter past the tramway for the Great Hall, Infirmary to the
Pet Shop, South Gate tramway. Head across to the
Pet Shop and proceed southwest to the
small house on the side of the Pet Shop. Enter and
speak with Lelani to hear her sad tale of the Morden's brutality when they killed her daughter at the battle of the Temple of the Coast. She tells you that Aman'lu was her daughter's favorite place and she would like some remembrance of Aman'lu. Agree to help her and she gives your group a Child's Doll, which she's made to barter with, and this initiates the quest.
2. Head north from the
Eirulan teleporter to the next tramway, which takes your party to the Inn. Board the tram and take it
across to the other side. Head south along the boardwalk
around the Inn until reaching the second tramway, which will take your party to the Falls. Board the tram and ride it over to the Falls. Head east up the boardwalk toward Fenella's house. Open
the door if it's their first visit, and enter the house.
Speak to Fenella and offer her the Child's Doll to receive
the Elven Ale.
3. Head east from the
Azunite Desert teleporter and
through the compound, then turn south and enter the
sole building.
Soldier Balamar will be standing near the rear of the structure. Speak to him to learn that all he has to drink is sandy water and he yearns for something better. Offer him the Flask of Elven Ale and he'll gladly give your character the
Skath Cat Ribs.
4. Head north from the
Eirulan teleporter to the
tramway for the Inn. Head
across to the other side and turn south once on the circular walkway.
Enter and head up the
stairway to the north. Continue over to the 2nd room to the northwest and open
the door if it's their first visit. Enter and speak to
him to receive the
Lucky Statuette of Xiera in exchange for the Skath Ribs.
5. You must have partially completed Act II, Chapter 7 (The Siege of Snowbrook Haven) before this sub section can be completed. Access the Aman'lu teleporter and head for
The Snowbrook Haven Living Quarters. Once there,
head south into the next room, then
turn east and continue into the following room. Again
head south into the room with the platform. Have your party
activate the switch on the east side of the circular elevator and to get on it and
rise above to
the top. Head
south up the stairs, turning southeast and
open the door if they haven't already done so, and go out into
The Snowbrook Haven Courtyard. Continue east southeast into the
Snowbrook Haven Dinning Hall. Walk over to the southeast, where they'll find
Soldier Kiernan standing in the corner. Speak to him to receive
A Morden Head on a Pike in exchange for the Lucky Statuette of Xiera.
6. Head south from the Aman'lu teleporter and cross the bridge between the two southern sections of Aman'lu. Turn west and
head up the hill toward the
damaged house. Enter and
speak to Alar'Ithil to
receive the Elven Water in exchange for A Morden Head on a Pike, which is acceptable as the trophy he wanted.
7. You must have initiated
Act III, Chapter 1 (Restore Kalrathia's Water) before this sub section can be completed. Access the
Northern Plain of Tears teleporter from the
Kalrathia teleporter, then follow the path a short distance
south under the arch and
turn west toward the ruins. Activate the
small switch on the lower part of the wall to the west to have your party step on the platform with the swirling pattern and descend into
Some Crumbling Ruins. Once down, loot the
chest immediately to the west, then head south down the short stairway and open either the east or
south door and head into the room, where
Prospector Gareth is standing in the southeast corner. Speak to him to exchange the Elven Water for the
Battered Agallan Relic. There's a
hidden buton, behind Prospector Gareth to the south. Left click on it to open a secret area behind him to the east.
8. You must have initiated Act III, Chapter 1 (Restore Kalrathia's Water) before this sub section can be completed.
Head northeast down the steps
from the Kalrathia teleporter and
continue east across the plaza and on past the fountain to the south.
Climb the stairs then turn north and
climb the second set of stairs. Turn west and
cross the plank. Turn north and walk down
across the next shorter plank, then
climb the stairs. Head over to the northwest corner and
speak to him to
receive the Bundle of Harpy Feathers in exchange for the Agallan Relic.
9. Head west from the
Aman'lu teleporter toward the
Aman'lu Tavern.
Turn north just before arriving there, then
continue down the first ramp toward the armorer's and weapon seller's shop, then continue down past it
on the second ramp. Finally head down
the third ramp and the North Gate will be dimly in sight. Turn east and head toward the
house.
Open the door, if this is their first visit to the house, then enter to find
Ithir'renne, the fletcher within. Speak to her to receive the Aman'lu Orchid in exchange for the Harpy Feathers.10. Return to Eirulan and head south from the
Eirulan teleporter past the tramway for the Great Hall, Infirmary to the
Pet Shop, South Gate tramway. Head across to the
Pet Shop and proceed southwest to the
small house on the southwest side of the Pet Shop. Enter and speak with
Lelani to give her the Aman'lu Orchid to complete this secondary quest and receive the quest reward.
